The friendly international against Uzbekistan has been finally confirmed.

The FFIRI confirmed this morning that the match will be held in the Uzbek capital Tashkent on June 11th as originally proposed . The Iranian side proposed the match to be switched to Turkey citing logistics on the day of the match but Uzbekistan football federation did not agree.

There is another friendly match being actively discussed with Japan FA.

Team Melli will camp in Turkey in preparation for he first match in the FIFA World Cup 2018 against Turkmenistan .
