Team Melli has lost one step and dropped to 49 in the world in the FIFA/CocaCola monthly world ranking for October 2013.
Accumulating 613 points , Iran ranked is still second in Asia following Japan and ahead of Uzbekistan and South Korea in fourth position.
The drop was in the ranking came despite win against Thailand in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on the 15th of October which was counted in the ranking calculations.
