Iran youth team U-19 defeated Belarus in their firts match of the group “A” of  Valentine Granatkin Memorial football tournament played on January 3, 2014 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
Ali Doustimeher and Mehdi Mahdavikia youngesters ended the match winning 3-0 with goals scored by Saeed Aghaye (9), Mahan Baghdadi (56) Yahya Najjarian (67)

In other match in Group “A”:  Slovakia defeated Finland 3-2 sharing the lead of the table with Iran with 3 points, While Team Melli U-19 is top of the 4 team group with +3 goal difference.

Iran will be facing Finland on Sunday. While Belarus plays Slovakia.
