Allahyar Sayyadmanesh arriveed back at Hull City to join in with the first of pre-season training that started on June 20th, after Acun Ilicali confirmed the Iranian striker would be moving on a permanent deal from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Sayyadmanesh has become a popular figure both in the Tigers dressing room and on the MKM Stadium terraces after pinning down a regular place in Shota Arveladze’s squad following his January loan move from the Super Lig. City have already agreed a fee with Fenerbahce which is believed to be in the region of £2m, while personal terms with the 20-year-old were thrashed out some time ago.

“Allahyar is like a piece of my jewelry”, Ilicali told Hull Live. “He’s our jewelry. He’s very talented and is progressing. I’ve said before that I think he can be the new Mohammed Salah. I’m not saying he is that now but he can be in the future, he has a big passion (for Hull City) and potential.

“When you look at the field of play, you see a guy who is moving quicker than everybody else. It’s like on the Playstation, there’s a player who is moving faster and you put him in the best positions – for me, Allahyar is that player. He has to improve of course, but when I look at our fans, they are cheering him and giving motivation to him. He is so happy and he’s now in paradise.”

Sayyadmanesh Opens his scoring with Hull City.

Team Melli forward, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh has finally opened his scoring account for his championship club side, Hull City.

Hull City ended their run of six successive home defeats thanks to two early goals that proved enough to beat Cardiff City 2-1.

Hull made a dream start with two goals inside 11 minutes as Allahyar Sayyadmanesh was gifted an opener by a terrible Cardiff defensive mix-up.

Lewie Coyle fired home a second within minutes after a fine team move.

Cardiff improved after the break and Aden Flint headed home his sixth goal of the season to set up a tense finale.

The win was important for Hull, who ended their recent home travails.

Hull boss Shota Arveladze made one change to the side that shocked Middlesbrough in midweek with Coyle recalled at right wing-back as the hosts looked to avoid unwanted history.

It is home wins that Hull have been struggling for, having lost six successive Championship games on their ground, one shy of a club record, so the Tigers opted to wear their away kit, hoping it would spark a change in fortunes.

Cardiff paid for their miss and then some, because they were 2-0 down within 10 minutes and very much the architects of their own downfall.

They gifted Hull an opener when Mark McGuinness’ backpass left goalkeeper Dillon Phillips stranded as Iranian forward Sayyadmanesh was able to round him and pass the ball into the net.

Cardiff did not respond well to the setback as they conceded again two minutes later when McGuinness mis-hit an attempted clearance and Cody Drameh could not control the ball, allowing Regan Slater to find Coyle, who found the roof of the net with a fine finish.

Recently, Hull City coach Shota Arveladze praised Allahyar Sayyadmanesh after his first start over the weekend against Middlesbrough.

Hull City has pretty much secured its place in the Championship again for next season after a 1-0 win at the Riverside Stadium thanks to Keane Lewis-Potter’s strike in 74 minutes. Sayyadmanesh started from the off for the first time and was substituted for Tyler Smith in the second half.

Arveladze was impressed with what he saw and praised his Iranian winger. “I think he (Allahyar Sayyadmanesh) did well (against Middlesbrough). It was his first start and he looked good,” the Georgian said.

Hull City signed Sayyadmanesh on a loan deal until the end of the season from Fenerbahce and he has since made eight appearances in all competitions, seven of which have come as cameo substitute appearances.

Allahyar Sayyadmanesh settling in at Hull City – he just needs goals

IT can be dangerous to make predictions in football, but one can safely be made regarding Hull City’s Iranian striker Allahyar Sayyadmanesh.
When he finally breaks his scoring duck for the Tigers – hopefully, sooner rather than later – expect his teammates to quickly make a beeline for him and warmly embrace him.

It will mean a lot to him and his teammates, not to mention those close to him back in his home city of Amol, close to the Caspian Sea in northern Iran.

Moving between clubs in mid-season is rarely straightforward, more especially when you swap not only countries but differing cultures.

That is the reality that confronted Sayyadmanesh when he switched to East Yorkshire from Turkish giants Fenerbache at the end of January.

Brought in on loan with a view to the transfer being made permanent in the summer, the 20-year-old was always likely to require a period of integration.

With a full pre-season behind him, one school of thought suggests that 2022-23 might be his time when Hull – should they wish – will see the best of him.

So Hull may have to read beyond his current statistics – no goals in six games so far, with an injury not helping his cause.

In the here and now, he could just do with a goal to back the positive impression he has made on the training ground.

City head coach Shota Arveladze said: “If he’d scored last week, it would be much better for me and it would be a great leap. He has had two great chances in the last few weeks, but it will come.

“I would have liked to have used him much more, but he got injured and it takes time.

Given that this is his third loan spell away from Fenerbahce, having previously impressed during spells at İstanbulspor and Ukrainian outfit Zorya Luhansk, Sayyadmanesh clearly has a bit about him as an individual.

It is a view backed up by Arveladze, with the club going out of their way to help him assimilate into life in Yorkshire.

Events like on Thursday when Hull owner Acun Ilicali took players and coaching staff to an Italian restaurant for a team meal during a flying visit to the city, all help play their part.

Arveladze continued: “He (Sayyadmanesh) is good and passionate and he has a will to do well in football and they (Iranians) have this history.
“He has been raised well and knows about respect and his position and how to act with the boys in the dressing room from his mum and dad and friends.“If we want people and players to succeed, we have to try and get them involved in every case.

“Let’s say they spend four hours at the club from 9 am to one or 1.30 pm. For the rest of the hours, they are outside.

“I don’t believe being on Zoom and Skype and having lunch with their families on the screen will make them play better. They have to be integrated. His English is good enough and his girlfriend is here.”

While Sayyadmanesh could be involved today, Mallik Wilks, the club’s top-scorer last season with 22 goals, is unlikely to be.

Despite City’s struggles for goals of late, Wilks – despite being fit again after recovering from a foot injury – has been omitted from several match-day squads. Given that he has scored in his last two games against Boro, he might be useful today.

On Wilks – out of contract in June although City have an option to add another year – Arveladze said: “I’ve spoken to him two or three times. He is a fantastic lad. I am just waiting for when he gets really fit and have talked to him about getting his energy and speed back.

“I am still pulling him out and telling him: ‘Come on, Mallik, we need you’.

“It can be quite long for speedy, heavy-muscled boys, like him. It is difficult to get to the level he was before. He had six to seven weeks out, then had a small injury and last week, he was sick and missed sessions. It is a little bit complicated.”

Allahyra Sayyadmanesh signs for English Championship club Hull City

Hull City FC secure the signature of Iran International Allahyar Sayyadmanesh. The Fenerbahce forward missed Team Melli’s game against Iraq as he had to travel to the UK to complete pre-signing Medical and other formalities.

Hull City hjas been bought by the Turkish entrepreneur Acun Ilicali – who has immediately installed the Georgian coach Shota Avreladze as manager since taking over – has some big deals in mind.

According to the news in Hull Live, Shota Arveladze about Allahyar’s transfer said, “He passed the health checks. He will probably join us on Monday.”

Beating Swansea City 2-0 in the first match under Shota Arveladze management, Hull City adds Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, Fenerbahçe’s player, to its squad. Shota Arveladze, the new coach of Hull City, owned by Acun Ilıcalı, one of the British Championship teams, has officially announced the transfer of Allahyar Sayyadmanesh who watched Hull city beating Swansea from the directors’ box.

Iranian international Sayyadmanesh was one of Ilicali  priorities

The highly-rated 20-year-old who was contracted to Fenerbahce has just returned from an 18-month successful loan in Ukraine with Zorya Luhansk.

Indeed, Sayyadmanesh is regarded as one of Asian football’s top prospects.

The Tigers are hopeful of concluding the deal for the 18-goal striker before the window shuts on Monday night.

The exciting young forward linked with a move to Hull City

Hull City are expected to complete the signings of Aleksandar Pesic and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh as new owner Acun Ilıcalı looks to strengthen the squad before the January transfer deadline.

The Turkish businessman finalised his purchase of the club last week and he made it clear that he will invest to improve the current group.

Therefore, it’s expected to be a very busy final week for the Tigers in the market and it appears that a few moves are already lined up.

That’s after reporter Yağız Sabuncuoğlu revealed that Pesic is set to join from Karagumruk in a 2.5m euros deal, whilst Sayyadmanesh is expected to link up from Fenerbahce.

Both are forward players, with Pesic having enjoyed a fine individual campaign in the Turkish top-flight, scoring 12 goals in 21 games. The 29-year-old has been prolific at different stages of his career, having also shone with Red Star Belgrade, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, and Seoul.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old forward Sayyadmanesh is an Iran international who is contracted to the Istanbul giants but he has had two successful loan spells in Ukraine with Zorya. Hull City are working on a £5 million deal to lure the youngster to the MKM Stadium before the end of the transfer window.

City supporters have seen their side linked with a host of names in the aftermath of Aseem Allam’s departure as the new regime looks to keep the club in the Championship.

One player reportedly attracting interest from the Tigers is Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, with Hull Live understanding Grant McCann’s side and Anderlecht are vying for his signature.

HullLive profiles the youngster ahead of his potential switch to the MKM Stadium…

Background

Sayyadmanesh is 20-years-old and has already been capped four times for Iran, making his debut in 2019.

The striker is contracted to Fenerbahce but spent last season on loan to Ukrainian outfit Zorya Luhansk – bagging 15 goals.

In December 2020, he even bagged the decisive goal in a 1-0 win to defeat Leicester in the Europa League at just 19-years-old.

Playing style

The Iranian is described as a physically imposing striker who has an instinct for finding the net.

At six-foot-tall, he possesses the strength to outmuscle defenders but prefers to run in behind and score the majority of his goals from inside the penalty area.

He averaged a 28 percent conversion rate while on loan at Zorya Luhansk, highlighting his ability to finish.

Sayyadmanesh’s flaws are seen as his dribbling but, at 20-years-old, there is plenty of time for him to work on his game.

Where does he fit in?

Grant McCann has played 3-5-2 this season but rarely has his frontline consisted of two strikers, with Keane Lewis-Potter occasionally operating out of position.

Tom Eaves – despite bagging his second goal of the season against Blackburn on Wednesday – has struggled to find the net, and Josh Magennis has left for Wigan.

Sayyadmanesh’s arrival would see him given one of the two starting berths upfronts and allow Lewis-Potter to play in his most effective role out wide.

Contract situation?

Sayyadmanesh is contracted at Fenerbahce until 2024, meaning any permanent deal would command a considerable fee.
