Started his professional career at Pas Hamadan in 2007, before moving on to Shardari Tabriz , Naft Tehran and then to his present club Sepahan.
It was in Naft Tehran that the Kurdistani player made his name with some excellent performances helping his team to the highest ranking in the top league in history of the club.
Ghafoori was on demand by several clubs, but Sepahan eventually got him on the roster for season 2014/15.
Made his debut for Team Melli under Carlos Queiroz in Nov 2014 against South Korea as a substitute.
