Talented young midfield player who represented Iran at the U20 and U23 teams before being called for the senior team.
Rahmani was first call for Iran was in U-15 team in 2004. One of the players who represented Iran in all ranks. He was called up and played for the Iran U-23 team by Alireza Mansourian in 2011. He was also captained the Ur-23 team.
On 14 May 2013, Rahmani was called up for the Iran national football team by Carlos Queiroz. He made his debut against Oman.
On 1 June 2014, he was named in Iran's 2014 FIFA World Cup squad However, he did not play for Team Melli in the tournament, as he was an unused substitute in three matches.
