One of the promising Iranian young players who represented Iran at many age levels. He started his career with Pas , before moving to Estghlal Tehran. He was hardly given playing time and when Naft Tehran came calling in , he did not hesitate in joining the Tehrani neighbors.
It was a highly successful move as Karimi shines and was one of their best players and highest scorer.
Karimi was called in for Team Melli by Carlos Queiroz. In May 2013 , he signed a 1 year contract to play for Sepahan.
