He was born in Ahvaz and played for his hometown club Gomrok Ahvaz.
Khalilain lifted the Asian Youth Championship in Bangkok with Iran youth team. After Gomrok Ahvaz, he joined Pass and then Taj.
He scored a brilliant header against Ghana in his international debut for Team Melli.
Kamal Khalilian promising career was interrupted by the Islamic revolution. is currently living in the United States.
