Made his debut in the preliminary rounds of the Asian Cup 1988, He was a member of Team Melli squad in Both Asian Cup 1988 and 1992.
After the elimination of Team Melli in the preliminary rounds following their 1-0 defeat against host and eventual winner Japan , Kermani-Moghadam was one of three players who were banned for 12 months from football due to their misconduct in the last match vs. Japan.
