Abdolreza Barzagari : known as "The Persian Black Pearl" Born in Abadan in whee he started playing football at young age in his neighborhood of Ahmad Abad. After changing a few teams during his earlier years , he joined Sanat Naft , the most popular team of Khuzestan. He made his debut at 17 against Tractor Sazi in Takhte Jamshid league , but his debut was not too promising and did not go well for the young player.
He was benched for the next game but figured in the team which hosted Persepolis in 1975 touching shoulders with the greats such as Parvin and Ghleechkhani.
Barzagari quickly became a famous player particularity for his excellent dribbling skill. He was selected for the Youth team and he Represented Iran in the Inaugural FIFA youth World Cup in Tunisia. He scored on that tournament.
On his return from Tunisia , he was included in Team Melli's squad preparing for the World Cup 1978 , but he did not make the final list. After the revolution , he was selected again for Team Melli , and he achieved qualification for the Moscow Olympics ( which Iran pulled out) then he was in the squad for Asian Cup 1980 in Kuwait , where Iran won the third place.
After Sanat Naft , Barzagari played 5 seasons for Al Nasr club in Dubai then a season with Qatar Club , before moving with Ebrahim Ghassimpour to Egypt playing for Al Masry Club.
a family was a pivotal player for the Iranian youth team and went on to represent Team Mell by making his debut just before the revolution.
He was part of the team that played in Asian Cup 1980 in Kuwait.
Famous for his long range passing and dribbling abilities.
