Javad Allahvardu played for Iran at youth and Senior level.He Captained the Youth team, also played for Iran students team and the Military team in several tournaments.
He was one of the few players at that time that changed between Taj (Currently Esteghlal) and Perspolis the two Tehrani rivals.
Started his career with Bargh , before moving to Pas , Taj and finally Perspolis.
He was in Team Melli squad at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games and 1978 FIFA World Cup Argentina.
