A career midfield player for Esteghlal who went through the rank of the Tehrani team and started his senior appearance for the Club in 1980.
In 1986 Ahadi transferred to the German club Rot Weiss Essen where he made a limited appearance before returning back to Iran and his old club Esteghlal.
On 18th January 2016 following an illness, Reza Ahdai passed away in a Tehran hospital aged 54.
