Farzami Joined Taj club which w was a boy which was located near his house and where most of the neighborhood children eventually joined. Farzami time was no exception. As a ten years old he went to the stadium as a ball boy during Taj matches. As a teenager he played with Kordnoury and Mohammadreza Adelkhani under the coaching of Mahmoud Bayati and Danaeifard in Taj youth ranks at the age of 12. He was eventually promoted to the senior Taj team. In 1345 under Bayati coaching he made his senior team debut against Tehran Javan in the post of left half back. Farzami was selected to Team Melli on the same year and was in the squad for Bangkok Asian Games in 1966 where Iran won the Silver Medal.
Two years later , Farzami featured in the Asian Cup in Tehran where Team Melli won its first Ever Asian Championship . Shortly after that, Farzami was suffering from a chronic back problem. He was away from football for some time and due to a previous bereavement in his family where two of his brothers were killed in Mountain Climbing accident and due to family concern who strongly encouraged him not to risk ill health , Farzami decided to hang his boots due to his back problem.
His footballing career was short-lived , however he managed to win several titles with his club Taj and of course the ultimate prize of Asian Champions in 1968.
