جعفر اشرف کاشانی He joined the Shahin team at the end of 1963 at the age of 20, and in his first game for this team, he made his debut against Shahin Khorramshahr in a friendly match, and then played his first official match against Rah Ahans. He celebrated his first championship with Shahin in 1965 at the age of 21. In 1967, with the disbanding of the Shahin club, the players of this team, including Jafar Kashani, Hossein Kalani, Homayoun Behzadi, and a number of others, joined Persepolis. Jafar Kashani's first appearance in the Persepolis team was a friendly match against Taj on April 5th, 1967. This was the first time that Shahin fans saw their stars after nearly 8 months, this time with the red jersey of Persepolis. In 1967, in the game between Persepolis and Oghab, Persepolis's main keeper Aziz Asli left the field due to some dispute while the reserve keeper Hadi Tavossi, was absent. Kashani was asked to stand between the posts as a goalkeeper. Persepolis won that 5-0 nil as Kashani kept a clean sheet. Jafar Kashani was invited to Team Melli camp for the first time in 1964/65 season, but he was always on the bench and never got a chance to show his skills. The fourth edition of the Asian Nations Cup 1968 was to be hosted by Iran at Amjadiyeh Stadium. Jafar Kashani, after years of sitting on the bench, has become one of the regular starters of the national team and has proven his place in the heart of the national team from the very first day until the match against Hong Kong which saw his debut in Team Melli, at the age of 24, Kashani went on to play all those matches for Team Melli which lifted the Asian Cup for the first time. He played in the fifth Asian Cup in 1972, which was hosted by Thailand in Bangkok, and celebrated the Asian championship for the second time in a row.
