Habibi born in Kerman but moved to Tehran as a child with his family , started his player career with Shahin F.C. and in 1958 got called up to the national team. In 1960, he joined Taj where he played for a few seasons. In 1964, he joined PAS Tehran and he was the captain of national team at 1964 Summer Olympic Games.
