He played for Daraei, Shahin, and then joined Persepolis F.C. for the rest of his career.
He made his debut for Team Melli in 1962 against Iraq and went on to win the first-ever Asian Cup in 1968.

Asli died In Dusseldorf, Germany on 23 April 2015 aged 77
