Carlos Queiroz announced the list of 27 players who will joint Team Melli camp in preparation for two upcoming matches. Team Melli will be meeting Thailand in the 15th of October in Azadi in the qualifying rounds of AFC Asian Cup 2015.

The list announced included the Iranian-American Steven “Mehrdad” Beitashor a long time candidate for Team Melli. Steven Beitashour is an Iranian American born professional soccer player who currently plays for the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer. The 26 years old was courted for playing with Team Melli on several occasions , however , it has only materialized now with Queiroz efforts and hence included in the latest squad.

3 other new players have made the list, all of who play for your European clubs. Sardar Azamon (Ruben Kazan) , Daniel Davari (Eintracht Brunswick) and Alireza Jahanbakhsh. In addition , Ashkan Dejagah and Ghoochannejad are both included. None of the legionnaire Iranian players have played a major role in the teams with the stars such Dejagah and Ghoochannejad not even making th bench of their team.
