The newly appointed head coach of Team Melli has arrived in Tehran along with two assistants.

The Football Federation has announced that Marc Wilmots arrived in Tehran at 3:48 AM on Tuesday, 28th  with two assistants to start work on Team Melli preparation for the two friendly international matches against Syria and South Korea.

Wilmots, who has signed his three-year contract at the Embassy’s residence in Belgium, will officially lead the Iranian national team as of today. According to the Football Federation, the list of players will be announced shortly. Team Melli will host Syria in Azadi stadium on  June 6th  and then travel to meet South Korea on 11th June.
