Iran Climbed 3 steps to 39th in the world in the monthly published FIFA Ranking for April 2016.
Latest FIFA ranking table which was published on 2nd June 2016 , shows Iran with 688 points comfortably maintain its top rank ahead of its closest rival South Korea with 603 points while Japan follows with 581 and Australia with 563 in fourth at continental level.
In addition to South Korea , Iran’s opponents in the World Cup qualifiers group are ranked as Follows: Uzbekistan (66) China (81) , followed by Qatar (84) and Syria (101).
