Iran’s National Futsal team , reached the semi-finals of the AFC Futsal championship 2016 after beating Kyrgyzstan 7-0 in the quarter finals stage in Tashkent. The win assures the qualification for the FIFA  Futsal World Cup in Colombia.

The team did not seem to want to ver stretch itself however , they easily ended the first half leading 3-0 with a brace from top scorer Hossein Tayebi and a goal from Mohammad Taheri.

The second half saw Iran extend it supremacy and with 2 quick goals , left the hapless Kyrgyzstan in tatters. The rest of the match was an excersize of passing between Iranian players and full defense by Kyrgyzstan for damage limitation.

Hossein Tayebi completed his has trick in the second half with a brilliant back-heel. No doubt that goal will remain the candidate for th best goal of the tournament. Ghodrat Bahdori , Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh and Mehran A’lighadr completed the scoring in the second half.

Iran will meet the winner of Japan vs. Vietnam for the Friday Semi-Final expected to be Team Melli’s toughest test.
