One of the most creative midfield players in Iranian football. He is the record holder of the fastest hat trick in the Asian Cup when he scored 3 goals in 8 minutes late in the game for Iran to defeat host Thailand after being 2 goals down. This occurred in the Asian Cup 1972 in Bangkok, when Iran defended the title and won the trophy for the second time running. That famous hat trick, resulted in a TV commentator calling Iran "One Man Team"
Ali Jabbari was born in Tehran. He played his football in small teams of Pahlavanpour and Nader before moving to the famous Rah Ahan club in the south of the capital.
It did not take long for the scouts of the biggest club in Iran, Taj , to spot the talented midfielder. Jabbari was transferred to Taj less than a season with Rah Ahan in 1966.
Jabbari had a reputation of scoring long range goals with his powerful kicks.
