Ehsan Hajsafy: Exciting young prospect that has been a
revelation in Iranian football in the last two seasons.
Hajsafy a midfield player has represented Iran at all youth level
competitions and will be
participating in the Asian U20 championship later in 2008. The young
midfielder has already made his mark in Asian football when he
accompanied his club to the final of the Asian Champions League 2007
where Sepahan lost to Urawa reds.
Considered as a one of the most talented players to emerge in Iran for
the last two decades, Hajsafy was a target of many major clubs
in Iran however , he remained faithful to his club Sepahan.
Hajsafy made his debut for Team Melli against Zambia at a tender age of
18, when Ali Daei played
him as a starter for the friendly match, rewarding his coach confidence
with two assists.
Hajsafy went on to play further matches and mostly coming in as a
substitute but eventually scored his first goal for Team Melli in a 6-1
win against Qatar in WAFF 2008 championship , where Iran kept the
championship for the second times in a row.
